Our Story

Bosden Candles was founded in 2019 by Karly, who handcrafts every product with love from her home workshop on the north west coast of Tasmania. What began as a small side hustle on the west coast has grown into something so much more – an Etsy store, local markets, candle workshops, and now the launch of our very own website.

Our name, Bosden, is a tribute to our first boxer dogs, Boston and Denver. They were such a special part of our lives, and although we have since lost them, their memory lives on in every candle we pour.

Over the years, Bosden has grown beyond candles. We now create a full range of home fragrance products – including reed diffusers, room sprays, wax melts, and melters – all designed to bring warmth, comfort, and beautiful scents into your home.

Each candle is made from natural soy wax and high-quality fragrance oils, carefully blended to create scents that linger and uplift. Every product is poured in small batches, with the same attention to detail and love that started this journey.

Since starting Bosden, life has become even fuller – between 2019 and now we’ve welcomed two beautiful boys, Henley and Vander. Balancing motherhood with running a small business has been a challenge, but also a joy, and it inspires me every day to keep creating.
